The Top & Derby walking cane has been given the IDEA Award for design — and for good reason too! The walking stick combines premium materials and functional design. The soft silicone covered handle has a distinct upturned nose that is comfortable to hold and intuitively positions the hand and your weight directly over the shaft. This unique detail also allows the cane to rest against a wall effortlessly for quick access. It can be propped up on its nose or side, without the cane falling over as generic canes often do. This durable cane has an aluminium shaft covered by a walnut hardwood and is anchored by a nonslip thermoplastic rubber shoe. These canes are made in Winnipeg, Canada from materials sourced in North America.
The Chatfield walking cane was designed by Matthew Kroeker and has been acknowledged by top-notch publications such as The New Yorker, Fast Company and The Globe and Mail. In 2014 the cane was recognized by the Industrial Designers Society of America and received an IDEA Award for design excellence in the Medical & Scientific Products category.
